What we do
We publish reproductions of selected masterpieces of the European Print between 1470 and 1830, chosen for combining artistic and decorative qualities.
Print techniques covered include engravings, etchings, woodcuts and colour woodcuts. We also reproduce watercolours of outstanding quality.
We choose carefully the best examples from the great "painter-engravers" - that is to say artists designing images specifically for a print.
How we do it
The works we reproduce are selected by us after careful examination of originals in museum collections, and are printed as giclee reproductions by the finest specialist printers under our supervision and exclusively for us.
Proofs are compared at length to the originals and often many proofing stages are involved to get our reproductions as close as possible to the original.
